Clinical Investigation Data
Temporal Correlation of Mespere's Plethysmographic Waveform With ECG Waveform
Method
- Simultaneous side-by-side time course plot of Mespere’s plethysmographic waveform and ECG waveform
- Conducted by three (3) medical physicians
- Blinded study
- Three (3) healthy volunteers recruited
Results
- All physicians could clearly identify the a, c, and v waves in Mespere’s plethysmographic waveforms
- Physicians confirmed the temporal correlation with ECG waveforms in most occasions
Investigation of Correlation Between Mespere Venus Readings and Physical Asseessment of Central Venous Pressure
Method
- Comparison of Mespere Venus readings with blinded physical assessments of central venous pressure (CVP)
- Phlebostatic axis (PA) is used as the reference point
- Physical assessment of CVP conducted by three (3) medical physicians using the Method of Lewis
- Blinded study
- Twenty-nine (29) patients and healthy volunteers
Results
- Readings from Mespere Venus have close correlation with the physicians’ readings throughout the range of 4–19 cmH2O.
- Pearson Coefficient: 0.92

Exam using the Phlebostatic Axis as the reference point.
